Ceilis
Our ceilis are dance gatherings featuring the very best, live, traditional Irish music in the metro area. Primarily focused on country sets, we also include a couple ceili dances in the dancelist. You’re invited to bring a dish to share and participate in the pot-luck supper. There is a one hour dance workshop which is a review of the set-of-the-month before the ceili starts
Classes
To enhance your enjoyment at the ceili, we provide a weekly dance class. Beginners are welcome, regardless of experience, and partners are not required–our experienced dancers will assist you. After the Beginners class, experienced dancers work on more challenging sets. Once a month, live musicians are brought in for a mini-ceili in place of the Advanced class.
Spring Fling
Join us in Shepherdstown, WV in 2024 for our last springtime dance weekend. Two ceilis, two workshops, and a light breakfast are all included in the registraton fee. With a scenic, walkable Main Street, and just across the river from Antietam Battlefield, there are plenty of reasons for an extended visit.Two different bands and a suspended wood floor enhance the dance experience
Concerts
When we can we also present concerts featuring local and touring Irish traditional musicians.
